I have looked for the url format for the web browser page but so far cannot find it. Can you point me to it

If your QNAP is running as IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, you need to enter xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9790 in the browser address bar. If you have changed the http.port property to some other value, use that value instead of 9790.

Edit: I have updated this section on the MinimServer website to clarify this.

Quote:Thanks Peter ps: there is a typo in the Web browser section of the Running MinimServer page of the User Guide

Web browser status page [NEW]

While MinimServer is running, you can access a web browser status page hosted by MiunimServer. From this status page, you can check whether MinimServer is running, set an initial content directory, and initiate a rescan of your library.

Now fixed. Thanks!

Love the status via browser so forgetful people like me won't have to start my PC again after loading music and forgetting to restart/rescan MinimServer

However, there are likely to be problems if you enable desktop integration or automatic startup for the second instance. I'll think about how to handle this.

That makes sense. It's running as a headless "Pi in a box" so desktop integration isn't required. Auto startup will be useful - I'll give it a spin and see what happens. If it goes belly up I'll simply remove it all and start again Smile

The new, second, instance started automatically but not the original instance. So, yes, something needs looking at in the auto start up.

0.8.1 version does not install on the Syno 213+ (clean install). When i try to install the package manually i get the message that Port 9790 is reserved by an appliacation or the system itself. This aborts the installation.

This can normally be resolved by waiting a minute or two for the port's connections to close. In some cases, it can require a reboot, as you have discovered. I'll add a note about this to the Synology installation instructions.

I was unable to install 0.8.1 until I stopped the previous version. Tried waiting after the Port 9790 message, and rebooting my Synology DS110j...

All seems fine now though!

Please read the Release notes. This feature is now part of MinimStreamer.

Many thanks again for this huge upgrade!

Did you add the tags to the .wav files before you installed 0.8.1? If so, you probably have a cache that was created by 0.72 and doesn't contain the WAV tags. The simplest way to clear the cache is by setting the writeAllTags property to any value, then restarting MinimServer.
