The Minimserver is running on Synology DS213, DSM 4.2-3211, Minimserver version is a special release 0.72 which was slightly modify by yourself to work with MiND renderer.

I have not done any serious testing with other DLNA server, but so far testing with Synology Media Server seem to be fine..

The reason I'm asking here is that I wish to narrow down the possible fault..

Please try the latest 0.72.3 release. This has a more recent level of ohNet, which includes the fix I sent you previously and also has some other fixes.

Hi Simon,

Thanks, I have installed the latest 0.72.3 and Java 7, the result is still the same. I don't think it has any thing to do with Minimserver, tried using Synology Media server and it still freeze after some time. Given up hope on the MiND iPad app, I'm now using the BubbleUpnp controller (paid version), it has been working for the past 6 hours without a hitch...
I've been extremely pleased with the combination of MinimServer & Lumin as a control point (and I don't have a lumin)...
Maybe you could try. Lumin addresses the "real estate" issue very well with font variable in size to present most of the information...nice for those long classical tagging...

I tried installing Lumin app v 2.0.1 on IOS 7 (ipad mini). I do not own a Lumin. Could not find a way to select a renderer, and found by trial and error that defining an OpenHome server for your renderer through BubbleUPnP server would let you select it after going to the settings menu, where it is listed under LUMIN menu item.

Is this how you do it yourself ?

I agree with you. Really nice UI.

For the renderer I add no trouble, the renderer (linn ds in my case) is seen immediatly to be selected on the Lumin Setup menu....
The Playlist on the left corresponds to the Linn ds playlist, so I can disconnect Lumin and IPAD and it goes on playing and edit with another app...

For the server, it shows MinimServer....and all other servers that maybe available, like the Synology Media Server...

Where someone uses MiND with a control point called "UPnPlay" that I know nothing about...

Thanks. Lumin is built around Linn extensions, which explains why your Linn renderer shows up in Lumin.

You are Right Andre.
I suspect that Lumin went even a bit further in "inspiration"...The Lumin even powers off and on my Linn! Volume Control also worked...
:-)
They must be good at reverse engineering...

Actually, the credit here probably goes to Linn, who have published their proposed extensions to the standard. But Lumin also deserve credit for working with known standards, and not adding undocumented variations of their own.
