RE: Minimsever update won't run
I can confirm that after the instructions sent by Simon MinimServer started again.

Additionally I had to install minimstreamer again from the Packages tab.

Many thanks Simon.

But one question remains: how do I update my MinimServer installations in the Container Manager?

Kind regards
steamfan

RE: Minimsever update won't run
To recover from the problem on QNAP, do the following:

1) In QNAP QTS App Center, remove MinimServer
2) In QNAP QTS App Center, install MinimServer

1) In the container, delete the entire contents of the folder /opt/minimserver/libext. Don't remove the folder itself.
2) Stop the container and restart it

I haven't tried this yet. Please let me know whether it worked.

I have tried this now and it worked for me. MinimServer restarted and automatically installed update 259.

RE: Minimsever update won't run
I have found and fixed the startup problem. The fix is available now in MinimServer update 261. I have tested this on QNAP, Synology (including Container Manager), Linux (various versions), Windows, Mac and Melco.

RE: Minimsever update won't run
Hi,

I think I've followed the steps above (using Synology 7.2.2.72806), but I'm still "red", with

"Unexpected exception java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 1 out of bounds for length 1".

Can you please send some ideas my way?

Many thanks,

Nick

Please post the full stack trace. If you are running MinimWatch, you can see this by selecting 'Show log' from the red icon.

I tried this but only got as far as instruction 1). The Minimserver icon then vanished from the AppCentre, so there is now no icon in the AppCentre from which to install it again.

Thank you for getting back to me Simon.

I've found this thread https://forum.minimserver.com/showthread...&pid=47364 which appears to be a similar problem.

I point minimserver at four folders:

/volume1/FLACS/ARTISTS
/volume1/FLACS/0 PLAYLISTS
/volume1/FLACS/VARIOUS
/volume1/High Resolution Files

and having deleted the mcache files (on Synology) and rebuilt the database , I'm getting the same error.

However, with just the Various and High Resolution folders in use, all appears to be ok and songs are visible on StreamMagic and Hi Fi Cast apps on my network.
So maybe the problem lies with the Artists and Playlists folder contents, although nothing has been modified.

I've followed the instructions from the other thread and here's the View Log (trace) file.

Regards,

Nick
