QNAP new 4.0 Firmware. Problems?
Hi everyone.

Has anybody put this new major firmware upgrade on their QNAP's yet?

Any problems with MinimServer?

I'm running an ARM QNAP the 119P

Thanks Smile

I have a TS119 and had no issues with 4.01 nor 4.02 installed in the morning

Great. Went through beautifully. Used Qnap finder.... Nice one. No special steps either. Thanks!

Not yet, mainly because I don't see any benefits compared with being on 3.7.3. Are there any?

I'm pleased to hear that MinimServer is working OK with 4.0x.

Hello,

I have 4.0.2 on my Qnap TS119. Minim 0.72 works good, but... when transcoding feature is switched-on cpu utilization is ~98%.
I'm not sure about firmware version installed before the upgrade, but I'm sure 100% that cpu worked at about ~50% utilization.

I have no active/enabled apps on my qnap apart twonky.

Regards,
Darius

The additional CPU usage is probably caused by the QNAP Media Library service scanning your media files. You can wait for this scanning to finish (which might take days or even weeks) or you can disable the Media Library service.
