Be careful when you update Java. Sometimes this can replace the 64-bit version with a 32-bit version if you do the update using a 32-bit browser.

RE: how to install minimstreamer on qnap
I have QNAP TS-459Pro with QTS 4.1.4 (20150820). Please tell me how I can add "dsf:wav24;176" to stream.transcode in tab System in MiminWatch because there is the message "Unsupported transcoding combination 'dsf:wav24;176' "

RE: how to install minimstreamer on qnap
OK. I have installed QFFmpeg 2.7.2 on QNAP and put the full path to the ffmpeg into the MinimServer stream.converter property:

And now Qnap TS-459 Pro plays dsf files without dropouts. CPU load is 20 %.

Thanks for the pointer. An alternative (that works on QNAP ARM models as well as QNAP x86 models) is to set the stream.converter property to:

/mnt/ext/opt/medialibrary/bin/ffmpeg

This is a recent version of ffmpeg (included in QTS) that supports DSF to WAV transcoding.

RE: how to install minimstreamer on qnap
Perhaps yours variant is better because in my variant minimserver works with my settings unstably - doesn't start in case of switching on of Qnap. It is necessary to switch off minimserver in the Qnap settings, and again to switch on minimserver and during starting of minimserver (mininwatch yellow) to edit lines of stream.transcode and stream.converter (to clear them) then minimserver is started (and minimwatch then becomes green). After minimserver was started it is possible to return again records in lines of stream.transcode and stream.converter.

RE: how to install minimstreamer on qnap
I set up Qnap for my friend for playback of the dsf files on Linn Klimax DS/1.
He told me that the same record in option dsf -> wav 24; 176 "on the fly" sound better than in option of offline conversion by dbpoweramp dsf-> wav 24; 96 - more air, the scene is more, localization is better, music instruments are more accurately tracked. (SACD Living Stereo RCA Heifetz - Double Concertos).
