I can't find out what it ACTUALLY is under the branding.

The power adapters work in a star configuration. You have one by the router talking to multiple round the house, so anything connected by these only take one port in the router.

I might pop a small switch by the stereo so I can wire the ca box and nas straight together and see what happens.

This would eliminate the powerline adapters and enable you to confirm whether these are related to the problem. If you still get the problem, it is likely to be caused by router settings. I will try to find out whether other users have had similar issues when using this router.

RE: Minimserver Diisappears?
I have this router and also have problems with MininServer not always being found. See this thread https://forum.minimserver.com/showthread.php?tid=753
I tried to isolate the Virgin Superhub as much as possible by only using it in cable modem mode and use a Cisco wifi router in router only mode and have an Asus wifi router used in wifi access point mode.
From time to time I try playing around with router settings, swapping the function of the Cisco and Asus and even just running the Virgin a Superhub full function with a network switch. Nothing has ever worked - so I get frustrated and leave it.
Control points will see MinimServer on repeated starts so it doesn't stop things working but it is annoying.
I get the same behavior regardless of whether the control point is on iPad, android or PC.
I am pretty sure it's network related but it's got me beat.
NAS is a QNAP 459 Pro+

I having been trying out Linn Kazoo CP with MinimServer over the last week or so both on PC and iPad. Kazoo has always found MinimServer - now I am confused

Kinsky and Lumin CP continue to frequently fail to find MinimServer on startup

RE: Minimserver Diisappears?
Yeah the bit that confusese is the fact that my ca player will lose it but remain connected to my laptop, and minimwatch on the same laptop can still see the server.

I must note that this only happens in times of inactivity, like overnight sometimes. Never mid-nick cave.

RE: Minimserver Diisappears?
I'm still having the issue whereby Minimserver works OK in UPNP compatibility mode for Naim N-stream but disappears completely as soon as I turn off compatibility mode. I looked in the log and it seems to log as normal but just stops when I switched modes. I have attached it anyway if it helps Simon.

As mentioned, I have a BT Hub 5. Unfortunately you can't switch it to modem mode only.

Any ideas welcome!

In UPnP compatibility mode, the UPnP control point is in the Naim streamer, which has a wired connection. When you disable compatibility mode, the UPnP control point is in the n-Stream application, which has a wireless connection. Your wired network is sending multicast discovery messages correctly, but your wireless network isn't. This is usually caused by a problem with the network settings for multicast IGMP snooping.

Edit: It seems I misunderstood your problem description. The log shows that the n-Stream control point has discovered MinimServer successfully. I will look at the log in more detail and post an update here.

The log shows a few browsing requests from the control point and some Black Sabbath album art images returned by the server. The last browsing request completed sucessfully. What did you see in n-Stream?

Edit: It might be necessary to clear the n-Stream cache when you switch modes. Did you do this?
