RE: Group display
Maybe you have been too detailed, the actual opus name/number is
24 preludes and fugues, Op. 87 and contains 24 movements therefore the Group tag should contain just the opus name/number for all 24 movements |

RE: Group display
I found a track listing that suggests (some?) recordings of this work have 48 files with each prelude and fugue being two separate tracks.
In this case, each prelude and fugue can be tagged as a group if preferred, or not tagged as a group if you want to see all 48 tracks separately. Situations like this make it clear that Group and Work are not always the same thing. |

That’s indeed the case: each group consists of one prelude and one fugue. https://musicbrainz.org/release/db709300...e3c6395139 24 such groups (each with limited track durations) add too much fragmentation. As MinimServer is highly configurable, is there a way to hide or ignore groups? Alternatively, I can easily reindex the album without groups. |

RE: Group display
If you want to ignore all groups in all albums, you can set the aliasTags property to Group:nil.
If you only want to ignore groups for this album, the simplest solution is to retag this album without groups. |
