This is working correctly. The output file isn't intended to play "as is".

This US-ASCII setting is definitely the cause of the problem. When MinimServer runs the ffmpeg command, some characters in the command string are getting mangled because of this incorrect setting. To fix it, you need to use the locale and/or localedef commands to set the charset to UTF-8.
