How do playlists work?
Excuse my ignorance...I am struggling to get my head around how playlists work with MinimServer. If I create a playlist it seems to be saved on the control point - and therefore only accessible from that control point. What I would like to achieve is to have playlists stored on the server and accessible by any control point. Is this possible with MinimServer and if so, how have others achieved it?
Thanks in advance. |

You need to create a .m3u file for the playlist and put it in your music library. MinimServer will scan it along with your audio files and show it in the browsing menu for your library. The audio file paths in the .m3u file can be either absolute or relative. If you are running MinimServer on a Linux-based computer such as a NAS, the file paths need to be in Linux format with forward slashes as directory separators. A good tool for creating relative playlists with forward slashes is oddgravity Playlist Creator. |

[/quot Hello sorry for asking but i made a playlist with your suggested programm and i sign "use forward slashes" and all worked ok but yesterday i wanted to play a "playlist" but did work no more. Now if i try to use the programm with or without sign the forward slashes is always the same result, the slashes are back and the oddgravity seems to do nothing about the slashes, always just back. It is difficult to believe but is what i see.... |
