Stream magic 6 and minim server search problem

Hello!
I'm very happy using minim server i'ts simple and does things the way I expect.
I have one problem and one question:

Using my streamer when i search for a title or an artist sometimes it works instantly, but mostly it does not work, after I enter the name it keeps searching , but noting appears.So where can I find a cure for this problem in the server application or in the streamer's ios application support?

My other question is that in folder view, everything looks the way I want, but when I enter an album it shows all the songs in rows and one next to the other (grid), can I skip this and make it show only like in Tag-View?
In tag view I can see one big album art ,and below the tracks in the order of the original album, it seems to me more practical, is there a way to make the traclist appear directly like in tag view?

This sounds like a problem that has been reported previously (see this post). After some investigation, the conclusion was that it's a problem with the Stream Magic app, not MinimServer.

It sounds like the view you prefer is the way your control point (presumably the Stream Magic app) treats a musicAlbum UPnP container and the other view is the way your control point treats a generic UPnP container. To get a musicAlbum container from folder view, you can select '>> Tag View' from the folder you are viewing.

About tag view that you propose means 2-3 more cliks, a little time consuming, i'll post some pics to explain what i want.


Is there any way to go from view 1 to the view in the last picture???
It seems to me that the most practical sorting is the folder view ,but after that the tracks should be displayed like tag view.

Thanks for posting these screenshots.

There's no way that MinimServer could go directly from picture 1 to picture 5.

Another option is for you to select Tag View from the My Audiophile Albums folder. After two clicks, this should show you all your albums with the view that you want. If you want to change the sort order of the album list in Tag View, you can use the Album.sortTags setting for this.

Edit: You might also want to set the listViewAlbums property to 9999 to ensure you always get a list of albums instead of seeing a tag selection menu.

If i select Albums , not Foler view, interestingly if I enter an album everything is displayerd in tag view, my only problem is that this way CD-s are sorted by the album name not the artist.

In My audiophile albums tag view is not available, only when I enter an album.

I'm not sure I understand that part with Album.sortTags thing....

Finally, is there a way to use Album view but make it somehow to sort my folders by the artist names, not album names(from properties )

You can change the sort order of the albums list by using Album.sortTags. See this section of the User guide for an explanation of how to use this. The setting you need would be something like Album.sortTags={Artist, Album}.

Is the My Audiophile Albums view created by the Stream Magic app or is it a folder you have created underneath your contentDir folder?

I verified again, yes it is available , but even after changing tagging options as you mentioned albums are still sorted by the album name not artist.

I am sure of this because MinimServer always sorts the '>> Tag View' choice as the first item in the list. As you can see, the control point has resorted this to be the second item.

You will need to contact the Strream Magic developers to ask whether they can provide an option to display items using the sort order provided by the server.

I'll check it again later, but maybe I made the picture during the loading , and that's the reason why tag view is second...

Same problem here!
I have tried setting :Album.sortTags={Artist, Album} with the same result!
You can actually see that at first the items are sorted in proper way and than are resorted by the app.
