Adding new music.

Hi,

I had problems at the weekend adding new music to the server. In the past I am pretty sure that after ripping or downloading and adding the files to the QNAP-219P NAS, I have simply asked Minimserver to restart via Minimwatch. Doing that did not cause the new files to appear in the control point (PC based Kinsky).

After some investigation I chose rescan instead, which did work.

Is this a change in behaviour, or my memory playing tricks with me?

I think this was an intentional design change with Minim >0.8x

Yes, that's right. The Restart option now allows you to do a quick restart without rescanning. The Rescan option does a restart + rescan (slower). In the future, I am hoping to change the Rescan option to do a rescan without restarting.
