RE: Minimserver reading snapshots on QNAP NAS
The problem has returned and Minimserver is indexing files in the folder $RECYCLE.BIN
I can't work out how to set the excludePattern from the user interface accessed via Minimserver app in Qnap.
Do I need Minimwatch to do this? If so that is a problem as I no longer have Java installed on Windows.

RE: Minimserver reading snapshots on QNAP NAS
If you have not yet updated to MinimServer 2.2 on the QNAP, follow the instructions in this section to do this.

With MinimServer 2.2 installed, open the MinimServer configuration web page and select the Properties tab, then the Advanced subtab. Type $RECYCLE.BIN into the excludePattern field, then click the Save button, then click the Restart button. There is no need to use MinimWatch.

RE: Minimserver reading snapshots on QNAP NAS
I've updated to Minimserver 2.2, however in Properties > Advanced, excludePattern is greyed out. I was able to add this previously but I cannot work out how I did it. Has this function been removed?

Maybe your license is Starter Edition or reverted to it … check your license status

If you are coming from ver. 0.8x there are changes about the availability of the full configuration.
Starter Edition (free) is quite limited, to change the configuration as was possible on 0.8 you need the Full License.

RE: Minimserver reading snapshots on QNAP NAS
I recommended updating to 2.2 because this is the first version of MinimServer to allow property changes from the MinimServer configuration web page (no need to install Java and MinimWatch on Windows). MinimServer 2.2 has many other improvements over 0.8, including the ability to see recently added and recently played files and to show artwork for all index entries.

RE: Minimserver reading snapshots on QNAP NAS
In this case you will not be able to change the excludePattern setting.
