RE: The control app thread
I wonder if anyone has observed the same effect: I run MinimServer on my MacMini 2018 along with BubbleUPnP and RopieeeXL on a Raspery Pi 4B that is USB-connected to my audio system. I am using the LUMIN app as a control app. LUMIN recognizes both, MinimServer and RopieeeXL as an endpoint, but after a while, when not playing anything, LUMIN won’t recognize my Raspberry Pi with RopieeeXL anymore. And there is nothing that would make LUMIN to re-connect to RopieeeXL anymore. MinimServer runs perfectly well, and RopieeeXL as well, so it’s not that any of the two would disappear from the LAN.
Does anyone know a solution? Thanks for input! |

RE: The control app thread
It happens to me too with your same setup.
A solution to this issue has been asked Lumïn several times but … they don’t hear … Just swipe off Lumïn app and relaunch it |

RE: The control app thread
This is the reason why I bought a lumin U1 mini. With lumin devices you do not have this problem. (But it is still not everything perfect.)
I had this problem with a minidsp SHD Studio and also with Bubble UPnP server. |

RE: The control app thread
Yes, Lumin needs to be swiped off every time after use, then it works perfectly. I am now in the habit of doing this automatically. I still find it worth the effort.
Lumin has also got more stable recently in Qobuz searches. Occasionally it would drop out. Now seems fine. Donuk, sunny downtown York |

Have you tried setting the BubbleUPnP configuration option Code: -blastAliveInternal NFrom the documentation: Quote:-blastAliveInterval N Of course it could be that it's designed in to encourage purchases of their own equipment :-) (09-02-2023 08:27)tarnkappe Wrote: This is the reason why I bought a lumin U1 mini. It is all a matter of perspective... One person is highly criticized using an expensive app to get his streamer working, another one buys a new streamer to get his app working......? |

RE: The control app thread
Quote: Of course it could be that it's designed in to encourage purchases of their own equipment :-) Yes, true, maybe. This is the reason why I hesitated to buy the streamer. But I did find it 2nd hand for a good price, so I gave it a try. Quote: another one buys a new streamer to get his app working......? This was one reason. Before this I was using a minidsp SHD Studio. This integrates a streamer and is also openhome capable. But you cannot stream qobuz using the openhome interface via lumin or linn app. So I needed the Bubble UPnP server on my NAS. This works fine, but it always did feel a little bit tinkered. At least with synology DSM7 where you had to docker the bubble server, because synology did built some constraints for software packagers somehow. And my intel NAS does not officially support docker, although it works fine when installing it manually. But you make me think about using JPlay, because it will not be much more expensive as a new streamer after some years. However I prefer to pay once (maybe a lifetime license) instead of subscription models.

RE: The control app thread
Hi guys! Sorry for my english....
I'm getting mad with the remote control (Bubble UPNP) of the MinimServer I've installed on my Qnap NAS, connected via USB with a DAC: in two words... BubbleUPNP sees my NAS and my musical library, but I can't select any othe renderer then the telephone where I installed BubbleUPNP. Of course my nas is on the same LAN of my phone.... Thanks in advance for any help! Bye! Paolo. |

RE: The control app thread
A DAC attached to a QNAP NAS via USB is not a UPnP renderer. How are you playing music to this DAC?

Nowadays I'm playing my music with Roon (the Roon's core is in the NAS), but i'd try other ways. There's no way to make the NAS's signal by USB out, isn't it? Anyway, thank you very much for your kind reply! |
