minimserver on fritzbox?
after using minimserver on medion nas and later xiaomi r2d router in debian chroot i'm wondering if there's any chance to keep it running on fritzbox (7590ax with mips cpu) instead of the pre-compiled upnp server? maybe with setting up chroot too or freetz(-ng) environment?

RE: minimserver on fritzbox?
AFAIK there is no version of the Java runtime for MIPS, so it wouldn't be possible to run MinimServer on any MIPS-based device.

RE: minimserver on fritzbox?
This is an old, limited and non-compliant version of Java. MinimServer requires an implementation of Java 8 or later that is fully compliant with the Java Language Specification (not just the JVM).

It would also be neccesary to build the ohNet UPnP stack (used by MinimServer) for MIPS.

Ok, thanks. Then it won't make any sense to investigate any further. Would've been fun to have a single all in one device again, but so I'm going to watch for alternatives. Shy
