Upgrade on Melco n1 fail

When I try to upgrade my Melco N1 from version 2.0.16 to latest it gave error message writer not found and update not found

Thanks, Neale! Are you on the latest Melco firmware (4.30 EX, 3.93 non-EX)? Older firmware versions can produce errors when installing MinimServer.

Been speaking with Neale. On 3.92 but cannot update to 3.93 as its gives error too.
Neale’s currently checking the internet connection to the Melco.

No luck have version 3.92 on Melco try to update but get updater not found will try again tomorrow

3.92 definitely has the bug that prevents installing MinimServer. This bug is fixed in 3.93 but there might be a different issue when using that.

I upgraded my own Melco N1/A from, I presume, 3.92 to 3.93 without a problem.
I also upgraded to Minimserver 2.1 without a problem either.

I wonder if it a network issue, an address issue or something like that. Or even a bad cable - maybe come loose.

I presume you have tried rebooting your Melco, Router and any switch in the network for good measure.

Just wondering.....

Same here on my non-EX Melco N1Z/1. Sounds like the OP's issue is non-software.

Just to close this off, the issue was to do with internet connection. So Neale's Melco could not see either the Melco or MinimServer download servers to do either update.
