Download link error 3

Dear all,
I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to these things and would appreciate any guidance anyone could give me. It was only recently that I noticed that MinimServer had been updated to v2, and with the BBC closing the URLs for their radio stations, I thought I would instal MinimStreamer. Following the instructions on the MinimServer website, I opened MinimWatch, which was for the first time in a long while, selected the option for minimstreamer in Packages, etc… Nothing happened, except that I appear to have lost some functions (Rescan to Close) from the pull down MinimWatch menu and minimstreamer now doesn’t appear as an available package. I also realised that I am running the now unsupported v0.8.4 of MiniimWatch. When I try and download the latest version, however, from the MinmServer website, I get the message, “Download link error 3”. I then logged into my Synology NAS to find that the installed MinimServer 0.8 had been automatically uninstalled and I had to instal the Starter Edition v2. Would anyone know what has happened and how I can download and instal the latest MinimWatch? I am using a Mac running OS 10.11.6, which I understand should be supported.

Which web browser are you using to download MinimWatch 2? Can you try a different browser? I have just tried this with Firefox on Windows and Safari on Mac and the download is working for me.

Many thanks! I was using Safari, but have now successfully tried with Firefox and have the latest version of MinimWatch installed. I will continue tomorrow to try and stream BBC, but I am already wondering where do I create the "BBC Radio" folder... ?

You can put the "BBC Radio" folder anywhere under your content directory folder.

Thanks again. I have now managed to stumble my way through things, as I usually do with my limited knowledge of such things, to the point where I can see the list of radio stations when using either the LUMIN and DS Audio as the control point. However, when l try and play, they will try for around 10 seconds with no sound and then stop.

Are you using the instructions on this page? If so, are you using the file BBC Radio DASH.m3u or the file BBC Radio HLS.m3u?

If you use MinimWatch to open the MinimServer log window before trying to play a BBC stream, do you see any messages when the stream fails to play?

I have tried both DASH and HLS. I see messages such as this:

There are four logging levels. Which should I be looking at?

PS: Yes, I am following the instructions on that page.

Please do the following:

1) From MinimWatch, select "Show log" to open the MinimServer log window
2) Set the logging level to Debug
3) Leave the log window open
4) Click the Clear button
5) Try to play one BBC radio station (only one, only once)
6) After this fails, click "Save as" to save a log file
7) Compress the log file to save space
8) Attach the compressed log file to a post here. Don't paste lines from the log into a post inline.

The log file should show me what is causing the problem.
