Minimwatch has not gone red and it hasn't spat out ministreamer either. Since then I have bounced the NAS 3 times and still no sign of a problem. I may do that a few more times this evening. What do you think was going on? Should I do Red nas tomorrow do you think? Thanks. Bob. |

RE: Integrity check failed for minimserver config
Thanks for doing all this. It sounds like the problem is solved. I think the important part was probably this:
On the configuration web page, select the License tab. This should show that you have a full license. When you do this, MinimServer synchronizes its internal state with the license server and I think this has fixed the inconsistency between different files that was previously causing a problem. I think you can go ahead with the Red NAS tomorrow. I suggest you do the following: 1) Before you start, make sure your current installation of MinimServer 0.8 is at the latest update level (0.8.5.3 update 134). 2) Follow the newly revised update instructions in this section. 3) If you get any errors or anything isn't as you are expecting, don't continue and try to recover. Instead, post here saying what has happened and wait for me to respond with advice on what you should do next. I will try to monitor the forum as closely as I can so that I can do this. |

It seems to have gone well, no problems. after MS2 was installed it offered an update which I installed and did a re-start. Then I added my last remaining license and finnaly minimstreamer. (Not that I've used minimstreamer since those tests of flac audio from the BBC a few years ago.) Thank you for your help, I hope you have more idea what happened with Blue than I do. :-) A question has occured to me. I suppose it's a bit late to ask this now. What would happen if the license server became long term unavailable? Any number of possible reasons for this including; Me being unable to have an internet connection. You deciding or being forced to walk away from minimserver. Would we be completely stuffed? Thankd again. Bob. |

RE: Integrity check failed for minimserver config
I'm glad to hear the upgrade of Red went smoothly.
You only need the license server to activate a license. After that, MinimServer will continue to run even if you don't have an internet connection or if the license server is down for some reason. |
