Hi,

Can someone advise the best method to correct audio files which have been flagged as follows during the scan:

Warning: ignoring additional ID3v2 tag at offset xxxx

How do I remove a 2nd ID3v2 tag ?

See this post and other discussion on the same thread for more information about this issue. If the files with the problem are MP3 files, you can use the MP3 Diags program to fix them.

Thanks Simon. I was able to remove the dupe using Mp3Tag by removing the tag twice, saving and then re-entering.

Did you need to manually retype the tag values? This would get tedious if many files are affected.

Yes, unfortunately, and redo album artwork.

Thanks for confirming this. The alternative approach of using MP3 Diags does not require re-entering any data, so I will continue to recommend MP3 Diags if other users have this problem.
