Just a bit of further experimentation this evening and posted for your interest: using BubbleUPnP Server on the QNAP and Linn Kazoo as a control point, a selected DSD64 file will not play on either device.

Linn Kazoo doesn't implement the optional UPnP protocol but Linn Kinsky does. This explains why the DSD64 file wouldn't play on the Mu-so. I would have expected it to play on the NDX. Perhaps BubbleUPnP Server is preventing this.

Yeah, who knows. I also don't know how well the Naim streamers react to being treated as Openhome renderers by Bubble.
It was a fun thing to try, I'll go put some good old fashioned vinyl on now...
