Hi, hibernation issues may have various reasons and are generally difficult to track down. Did you install any other package than Minimserver or did you change any DSM settings before you noticed this? For an (incomplete) list of possible causes, please refer to the Synology FAQ.
My DS211 sleeps very well when running MinimServer 0.71. I suggest to uninstall MinimServer to see if the problem persists. Note that when you choose to backup the configuration when uninstalling, your configuration settings will automatically be restored when installing MinimServer again.
As a second step you can try to enable the hibernation debug log as described in this document. This will give some more clues about what is preventing your NAS from hibernation.

Yes, I'll post something there.

So far no luck but I'll report back once I get a response that may point to the root cause.

Hi advr,
I also keep having issues form time to time with hibernation and automatic wake-up (not a Synology, but a ReadyNAS NVX here). I even had level3 support spending quite some time on the machine. Their conclusion was that it is related to the local power supply and the only way to get around it *consistently* would be to add a UPS in front of the machine to have perfectly stable current which is apparently one of the key issues for this feature to work...

I havent actually done that (yet) - but just a s a potential pointer for your issue...

Hi,

I only installed 0.71, with 0.63 no problem at all... But I will uninstall 0.71 (and save the conf file) and will enable hibernation debug log. Running the atest DSm for a couple of weeks now with no problems.

Thanks for the tips.

Yes, if you want to. If you don't still have the .spk file for 0.63.5, you can download it from this link. You need to uninstall 0.71 first, and you'll need to revert to the 0.63 version of MinimWatch if you want to use the log window.
