MinimWatch
Hi Simon, bit of a strange thing here. I have now installed MS0.70 on the QNAP, after having tested it on the laptop. All installed OK and MinimWatch was also installed on the laptop. Now my W7 computer (desktop) shows both instances of MS, but the laptop (Ubuntu 12.04) shows only the MS version that is running on the laptop itself. Leia on the laptop does show both instances. Anything I can do to make it show both instances on the laptop? Thanks, Rene.

MS means something else in the world of computer software, so I'm slightly allergic to seeing it used as an abbreviation for MinimServer. ![]() I've tried this myself on a laptop running Ubuntu 12.04 and it works as expected. If I start MinimServer on the laptop, I get a minim icon for the local MinimServer only. If I start MinimWatch on the laptop, I get a minim icon for the remote MinimServer only. (It would be very confusing if the same local MinimServer instance showed up in two minim icons.) If I start both MinimServer and MinimWatch on the laptop, I get a minim icon for the local MinimServer and a minim icon for the remote MinimServer. If your laptop is showing an icon for the local MinimServer only, my guess is that you've probably started MinimServer but not MinimWatch. |

RE: MinimWatch
OK, got you. I thought that when MinimWatch is active it shows all Mservers (:-)) instances. From the manual I didn't appreciate that MServer starts up its own MWatch and that for the other (network) MServer instances you need to start it separately. Thanks, Rene
