MinimServer 0.70 has been released

I second what others have said about the many new features, careful testing, and quality documentation -- the latter so important. In addition, I want to acknowledge the support for multiple OS's. I know it's a lot of extra work, and it's another thing that makes MinimServer unique. Thanks Simon!! And also to winxi for his work on the Synology package, which I use. Can't wait to try the new features this weekend!

It shouldn't appear if you don't have any playlists under your content directory. If you do have playlists, it can't be disabled.

I do this by hand-editing the .m3u files. I've heard that MediaMonkey provides a way to automate this, but it produces Windows-style paths that would need to be manually converted to Linux paths. See this post. There may be other tools available.

Odd Gravity's Playlist Creator does the trick. Just check "Use forward slashes instead of back slashes" in Settings - Playlist Details
