Can you confirm that BubbleUPNP is the unique control point which allows to display booklets ?
Is Lumin (which I use) usually "quick" to add such new features ?

Best regards
Alexandre.

The 'Hi-Fi Cast' Android app will also display the booklet links.

Thanks for this pointer. This looks like a great app. I will post some questions to the support forum. Is there any chance of adding an iOS version?

This is true, although I would not expect a standard US keyboard to generate anything other than the basic symbols (the lookalikes are mostly in the mathematical or East Asian ranges of Unicode).

In any event, retyping Kind Of Blue (2013 Remaster) completely did the trick, as suggested by Dieter. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that I do my tagging on Windows and then move the files to a Linux-based NAS. Dieter, do you move your files around this way? Or maybe it has to do the origin -- I downloaded this album from a vendor, and the files probably got passed around among various operating systems as part of the production process.

I've always limited my filenames to A-Z, a-z, _, 0-9 and (more recently) space. Occasionally I think I'm overly strict in this regard, then something like this comes along to convince me I'm not.

I don't have any plans for an iOS version of the app, at least not in the near future. There's still lots of functionality still to add to the Android version including better support for some of Minimserver's advanced capabilities such as search by artist roles.

And I should have mentioned, for now the app only plays to Chromecast devices, not UPnP/DLNA renderers (but that may change depending on demand).

In your original post, I noticed the use of white space inside your filenames. From experience, I know that it is not easy to identify a string of 2 spaces where you think you see just one (unless the name is displayed in monospaced font). Out of curiosity, could your problematic pdf filenames have included consecutive spaces, where you tags contained just one ?

RE: Booklets
The original ALBUM tag value might have contained ( and ) characters that were not typed with a standard US keyboard. By retyping the tag value yourself with a standard US keyboard, you have replaced the original Unicode ( and ) characters with the standard keyboard versions of these characters.

Moving a file between operating systems doesn't change the Unicode values of any characters inside the file.

Good suggestion but highly unlikely, because (a) I am well aware of the two-space issue and take care to avoid it and (b) even if an extra space crept into one filename by accident, I don't think this would have happened to all of the affected files (about six so far).

I do my tagging on Mac and then move the files to a Unix-based NAS. But as Simon said: Moving a file between operating systems doesn't change the Unicode values of any characters inside the file.

RE: Booklets
Hi Simon,
Hopelessly lost here with getting booklets to work. I have read this thread and the latest guide notes but I simply cannot get this to work.
Using minimserver recent update 108 on Qnap NAS with Samsung S6 and BubbleDSNext control point. I have given up on using album title for the pdf and am using booklet.pdf as suggested above to keep things simple, but still nothing. In fact I cannot get "Comment" field to display, never mind the pdf.
I believe I have followed all the instructions but wonder if there some conflicts. How can I get the setup info to you? Can I use screen shots of the server properties as shown my minimwatch?
I could also post log file but it is quite large and would need to use dropbox or similar or PM to you.
Grateful for your help when you have time.
Regards,
Budge
