RE: error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException

The yellow icon means that MinimServer is rescanning your library after startup. Restarting will abort the rescan and start a new rescan from the beginning (not a good idea).

Quote:This is what the log says:

MinimWatch 0.8.3 update 44, Copyright © 2012-2016 Simon Nash. All rights reserved.
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_111-b14)
Java HotSpot™ Client VM (build 25.111-b14, mixed mode, sharing)
Platform default charset is windows-1252

So this is still not update 94 I guess?

This is the MinimWatch log, not the MinimServer log. MinimWatch is on update 44 and MinimServer is (hopefully) on update 94. To confirm this, you can select 'About' or 'Show log' from the MinimWatch minim icon.

Quote:Well... as I am explaining the current state of things Minimwatch has some good news and turned green: YES.

This means the rescan has completed.

Quote:Kazoo seems to be up and running and found the main room and working properly.
Lumin needed a little push: it seems to be using a new music library which oddly has the same name as the old one but needs to be chosen in the set-up (it now displays twice MinimserverMyName but one is online and one is offline).
Maybe this info is useful for other users who experience the same issue.

Thank you very much for your help Simon and sorry that I called you Colin in the confusion of things - strange effect this all had on my mindset, must be the reason.

I'm glad it is working now. Updates are normally a lot smoother and I apologise for the inconvenience. I did test on my QNAP TS-119 but the problem wasn't showing up on that model.

Minimserver is installed and started on QNAP (green).
But it is not possible to edit by using webserver.

Do you have MinimServer 0.8.4.2 installed? If so, you should be able to click Open on the MinimServer icon in the App Center to show the status web page.

Yes I did a clean install of 0.8.4.2 but can't open the status webpage.
After this I reinstalled the 0.8.4.1 with the errors and now i'm able to open the status webpage by clicking on the icon.

Which version of QTS are you running? If you are running 4.3, you need to install MinimServer-0.8.4.2-x64.qpkg. If you are running 4.2.2, you need to install MinimServer-0.8.4.2-x86.qpkg. If you have installed the x64 version on 4.2.2, it will not work.

As a workaround for this "catch 22" problem, you can download the new 0.8.4.2 version of MinimServer from the Downloads page and do a manual install. This should start successfully and automaticaly install update 94 after it starts.

Thanks Simon,

it seems it worked without the catch 22 and the need to install 8.4.2

It's not you being stupid. It's the need for people who just want to listen to music having to become computer experts that is stupid.... Sad
