Hi I get the following error and warning after installing minimserver on my QNAP 253.
Level: Error
MinimServer start error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: org.jminim.launch.Launcher.setStreamHandler(java.lang.String, java.net.URLStreamHandler)
Level: Warning
MinimServer status set to disabled.
minimserver 0.8.4.1
JRE 8.65.0
installed
I get these errors after every reboot.
Any idea?

If you are using QTS 4.3, there is a bug fix update to MinimServer (0.8.4.2) available from the downloads page. Details are on the QNAP installation page. I guess that it would be sensible to uninstall the older version before installing the new one.

DO NOT uninstall the older version before installing the new one. If you do this, you will lose your MinimServer configuration. See this section for update instructions.

I have just released update 94 with a fix for this problem.

Hi Simon, I got the same warnings and issue as Wilhada.
I have a qnap hs251 and trouble since updating firmware last night.
I did uninstall Minimserver before installing a version manually.
It does not show any updates available.
Minimserver is still not running and qnap keeps giving the same errors on restart.
Can you please help, what am I doing wrong?

Update since my previous post:
Minimserver seems to be running according to minimwatch.
Qnap stopped giving the warnings on restart but there is no minimserver icon on the homepage so... That is not good.
Neither Lumin nor Kazoo CP's can see minimserver and state offline or not available.
What to do next, so still in need of your help please Colin

I'm on Minimserver 0.8.4.1
Should the update 94 show up in the App center?

Update 94 is an online update and is not installed via the App Center. It is installed automatically when MinimServer starts. It is possible that the java.lang.NoSuchMethodException error is causing MinimServer to stop before the update can be installed.
As a workaround for this "catch 22" problem, you can download the new 0.8.4.2 version of MinimServer from the Downloads page and do a manual install. This should start successfully and automaticaly install update 94 after it starts.

Tried your suggested workaround, restarted Qnap NAS HS251. Minimserver icon is on the homepage and the JAVA warnings have not appeared. Minimwatch icon however is yellow, should be green, tried restarting Minimserver: no change. This is what the log says:

Well... as I am explaining the current state of things Minimwatch has some good news and turned green: YES.
Kazoo seems to be up and running and found the main room and working properly.
Lumin needed a little push: it seems to be using a new music library which oddly has the same name as the old one but needs to be chosen in the set-up (it now displays twice MinimserverMyName but one is online and one is offline).
Maybe this info is useful for other users who experience the same issue.

Same issue as Zappa.
Minimserver is installed and started on QNAP (green).
But it is not possible to edit by using webserver.
