Problem with AlbumArt (Naim)
Hi Simon,

I was able to install MinimServer 0.64 on my DS1512+ to test the Naim album art issue. It's working perfect now. Thanks a lot.

Hi Simon,

I played a little with the new version and I think there are some more issues.
I was not able to play all songs on my Naim Uniti. Sometimes the song starts to play for about 1/10sec and then it stops. I tried to restart MinimServer but this has not fixed the problem. I have reset the UPNP cache of n-Stream then it worked for some files and then it stopped working again.
I had the same issue with 0.63.3 but I thought this had to do with the album art issue. BubbleUPNP was my workaround.
I'll send you a trace log via pm.

Regards
Tobias

Is this associated with specific songs (perhaps certain file types or certain individual songs), or does it seem to be random?

Do you have wav transcoding enabled in MinimServer?

It seems to be random. I picked different files of different albums. I only use FLAC files (44, 88.2, 176.4, 192 kHz), all made with dBpoweramp or Korg AudioGate.
I tried out wav (wav24) transcoding it worked on some files on others I had the same issue, short playback, then it stops.
Right now wav transcoding is disabled.

This sounds like it might be a random timing issue. The trace log should help me to find out more. Did you see my reply to your PM?

Hi Simon,

only to keep the community informed:
We are working on these issue (analyzing trace logs) and keep the thread updated if there are some new informations.

I do not have such problems on my Syno 213+. with a 0.64er minim version.
I also play transcoded fLAC files (44, 88.2, 176.4, 192 kHz)

After further testing, this problem seems to be caused by having multiple active subnets in some Synology models with dual Ethernet ports.

If one port is left disconnected, the APIPA subnet for that port (169.254.x.x) is still active and accessible via the other port. This causes MinimServer to make itself available on two different IP addresses on different subnets via the connected port. Depending on how the network routing is set up, the control point and renderer might be accessing MinimServer using both IP addresses at the same time. This is causing the problem with tracks randomly failing to play.

The solution is to use the ohnet.subnet property to bind MinimServer to a single subnet IP address. For example, if the correct subnet is 192.168.0.x, the ohnet.subnet property should be set to 192.168.0.0.

Yes, I have a spare ethernet port and I'll try what you suggest. Thanks!
