MinimWatch provides a remote interface for configuring and managing MinimServer on the QNAP. MinimWatch doesn't need to be running when you are using the Naim app to browse the MinimServer library or play music.

RE: GETTING STARTED
Last question. This is not a Qnap issue, right? In other words, would I have better luck with a different NAS?

Same answer as previously. There isn't enough evidence yet to be sure whether it is related to the QNAP. If so, it would be a configuration issue (e.g., VPN settings) rather than anything wrong with the QNAP itself. I have a QNAP and I have never had this problem.

RE: GETTING STARTED
Sorry not the last question I guess. I noticed on your download page there were 3 different Qnap download options. I am using what was available on the app center of the Qnap. I have the TS231. Any chance I do not have the right program?

You are definitely getting the right program from the App Center.

Do you mean this was already disabled or have you just disabled it now?

This is likely to be the reason for the problem. You should now power everything off and power it on again in this order:

1) Router (then wait 3 minutes)
2) Switch (then wait 2 minutes)
3) QNAP (then wait 5 minutes)
4) ND5X
5) iPad, then restart the Naim app

Does this help?
