A Few older HD tracks albums not shown
Hi Simon,
New arrival from Twonky, and not very PC savvy. Firstly many thanks for a program which is so much better than Twonky. However, I have two problems which I can't fix (and I have researched them on the forum).
1. I have minimwatch installed on my Windows 8 PC and minim server running on a Qnap TS 120. The minimwatch icon remains grey and won't allow me to do anything at all. Minimserver is running and I do have a small green icon which allows me to do the usual on right click - rescan etc. It looks like minimwatch is not seeing minimserver. How do I fix that?
2. I have 5 albums which show up on Twonky, but not on minimserver. They are all older downloads from HD tracks and thus J River and it looks like a similar problem to bplexico asked you about on 4/1/15. The error log shows "error.format error in WAV file Rock/(name of album)". I have checked the properties of each file and the only difference between them seems to be in the "contains" section where the ones that work say "Album Art, ID tag (list and ID3) and the ones that don't work are identical except that the in brackets is just (ID3) Is there any way around this? Your help is greatly appreciated.

If this small green icon is in the Windows system tray (bottom right corner), it is being displayed by MinimWatch and MinimWatch is running OK.

Is the grey icon on your desktop? If so, this is the launcher icon for MinimWatch and its only purpose is to enable you to double-click it to launch MinimWatch if MinimWatch isn't already running.

To fix the format error in these WAV files, you can run them through a converter program such as dBpoweramp and select WAV as the output type. This should write the file in the correct format. You are getting this problem with MinimServer but not with Twonky because MinimServer is doing a stricter verification of the WAV file format than Twonky is doing.

@joiad - I did something similar to what Simon has suggested to correct the files that had problems. Being a Mac user, I used XLD ( similar to dBpoweramp ), and transcoded the albums that were giving me an issue. This corrected the issue for me.
