Multiple Disc Albums Strange Rips
Lately when ripping albums with more than one disc, after ripping the first disc correctly as individual tracks making up a disc all following disks rip like they were one track albums. EG, if the disc has 10 tracks I get 10 with one track each, plus an 11 th with all 10 tracks. This is new maybe with 15. If I look at the files in diskstation they appear correct, ie one folder with all tracks for each disc.

Do the individual tracks of the second disc show up as albums (in the "n albums" list) or as discs within the ripped album (as ">> Disc n" dividers when you view the album)? Edit: Also, are all the discs in the same folder or is each disc in a separate folder? |

I may not understand all you are asking, but in Diskstation for a four disc album I have a folder for the artist and then four subfolders, one for each disc. This to me looks normal. In n stream on my iPad I'm not sure how to describe so you will understand, I tried to post screen shots from my iPad but they do not appear for some reason. But in the screen following the first disc screen, I have a folder (that when I open it leads me to the second disc), plus all the unwanted individual tracks too, each with cover art and when opening them the track appears/plays. I assume these individual tracks are albums. |

I can choose the files no prob but after Adding Attachments the screen shows Attached Files and Thumbnail but clicking says 'file does not exist'. Could it be an iPad thing ? But no way to move to laptop I know of. Edit when I say screenshots it's not using the camera but the iPad feature capturing the n stream screen. |

Can you sync the iPad with a computer using iTunes or iCloud and get the images that way? |

Ok here is the progression of n Stream screens for an album with two discs. The problem starts in the 4th screen, where the second disc shows individual tracks, it should look like screen 3. |

I edited your post to remove the extra copies of the zip file. MinimServer is handling this album correctly. Because disc 2 is tagged with a different album name than disc 1, MinimServer treats it as a separate multidisc album that contains only disc 2. You have two options: 1) If you want to see all the tracks merged into a single album, you can change the Album tag for the tracks in disc 2 from 'God & Guns [Special Edition]' to 'God & Guns'. This will show a screen like photo 4 containing all the tracks from both discs. 2) If you want to see each disc as a separate album underneath the artist Lynyrd Skynyrd, you can remove the DISCNUMBER=2 tags from the tracks in disc 2. This will show a screen like photo 4 for each of the discs. The strange display you are currently seeing for disc 2 (in photo 3) is caused by n-Stream. On most other control points, this would look like photo 4 with an extra line '>> Disc 2' before track 1. |

But if I understand correctly my Naim dealer says his two disc albums display like 2), not sure but don't believe he is using MinimServer or doing any tag editing. |
