well ... I could do that as the very last solution --I'm not very much into software subscribtions-- if a new and significant improved version is released.
The fact that the Netgear resdynas installer is outdated --doesn't work on OS 6 readynas-- is not convincing me either. So I keep it on a side nas , an old qnap, as I am not allowed to install it -- version I paid for-- on a fresh linux. I asked, was rejected, done. I won't beg. it is annoying --too bad because the software is good, lightweight and responsive, very good-- but there are many much more important things in life.

nevertheless I believe one should be allowed to download the installer regarding his license ; as it is for almost all software , at least for final versions, not for beta. Or put a warning on the download page : beware beloved customer ! download and save all you need now ,because you won't be allowed to download again !
