WAV Tags and Sound Quality
Okay, I know there will be some people who think I'm crazy...

I'm using Minim Server 0.8.1 on a Synology DS 412+, and my renderer is a Naim NDX playing through a Naim SuperNait 2 into PMC twenty.23s.

The majority of my library was ripped to WAV on a Naim Unitiserve SSD, because the resulting files sounded better than anything I could accomplish with a Mac or PC-based ripping engine.

So here's the deal. I've tried tagging some of my files with SBooth's TAG application (I'm using a Macintosh) and I'm concerned that something has happened to the tagged files that makes them not sound as good. It's possible I'm just paranoid, although I'm not generally prone to flights of audiophilia nervosa.

Has anyone experimented with other WAV tagging apps for purposes of sound quality?

Of course another option is packing the WAVs as FLAC, but there are issues with that as well, and I would rather pursue this option first.
