RE: MinimServer is preventing my Synology NAS from hibernating
Earlier in this thread, I claimed that JRiver Media Center's Media Server service had been responsible for preventing my NAS from hibernating (after my predefined 10 mins of inactivity). At that time, I thought that stopping this service was the only way to let my NAS get some rest, as 10 mins after using this Media Server the NAS had still not gone to sleep.
However, I have now realised that there is no problem in leaving this Media Server running all the time. My NAS does eventually go to sleep about 20 mins after I stop playing any media. I've no idea why it takes twice as long as normal, but at least it works. Thr bottom line is that there has probably never been a problem with hibernation of my Synology NAS
