  • More > Settings > Library: Enable 'Track number'
Whilst you're here you can also disable from the 'Virtual folders' section: 'Bookmarks','Saved playlists','Recently Played' and 'Random tracks/Random albums' if you're not going to use them.
  • More > Settings > Local and Cloud: Disable 'Enable Local and Cloud Library' (Functionality to allow you to access not only local files, but also Qobuz, TIDAL, SMB Shares, personal cloud storage e.t.c)
  • More > Settings > Look and feel: Enable 'Show Devices tab' & Change 'Side menu icon location' to 'Top bar'

You confirm my statement: the idea to create a word processor to navigate in your music is a typical engineer idea. Why do we need this ?

What we need is simplicity of use and nice design. The greatest Apple innovation is the absence of a user manual; no one needs this. Your list of parameters is exactly the reverse of what should be done; we then need a user manual. Not good.

I don't get your point of BubbleUpnp server and Lumin ? I have been using both without any issue; at least until I switched to DSM 7; with BubbleUPnP being then incompatible (unless you use Docker, I know... Yet another engineering approach; honestly who can, apart the geeks, understand the concept of virtualization).

And about the interface, again de gustibus et coloribus non es disputandem
