There are several tag editors for Mac. Personally I use Metadatics. Available in the Apple App Store

What do you use to rip cd's? Is that app not able to edit tags later on, like dBpoweramp?

I use XLD for ripping CD's (Mac) or EAC (Windows). And yes, Metadatics is perfect for tagging music files afterwards.
