In Synology DSM, go to the Package Center (where you installed MinimServer). Find the MinimServer icon and click the Open button. This shows a web page named MinimServer Status. This web page has a Rescan button. Click this Rescan button.
Ok, this might be also a possibility to do a rescan, but I think it is better to have MinimWatch installed, it offers far more than just a rescan facility!
Ok I found that abd clicked on the tab that said rescan and to the left of that it says restarting? Is that what I sould see? Hope it is ok I have music playing and I have never seen the stuff on the lightning ds app you mentioned??
I heartily concur, but I am sure that, in this instance, Simon is providing a simpler method. After all TopHatJohnny1 only requires the rescan after upsampling some albums.
Of course, an even simpler method, dare I say it, is to use the Lightning server within the Lightning DS app. No need for NAS or Pc software installation. It’s all there on the IPad and if I recall it detects changes automatically.
You are right, the first and most important goal, is to help TopHatJonny1 with this rescan issue.
Peter you atr too cool and I will try that from synology now and report back, Sorry so long to respond as I am busy raising my granddaughters 24/7 and hard to get stuff done sometimes but on ot now while they are napping! Thanks so much and I remember the streammagic 6 as it was what got me hooked on this crazy hobby. Did you have one too??
