RE: View composer and artist at control point
Thanks Paul. I have 5 Herbert von Karajan albums listed under "conductor" as viewed from my control point and 14 files listed under von Karajan under my self made tag "Dirigent". I recently noticed Herbert got listed as conductor after having been denied several times. This was an .mp3 file. I checked all the other albums that recognized von Karajan as "conductor" and they are either .mp3 or .aiff. There is one CD that I converted to lossless .m4a "Best Opera Album in the World Ever" and my control point recognized von Karajan and all the others entered into the conductor field in Qoobar. Otherwise, it really does seem to be related to the file type as you mention. I notice that Qoobar includes the apple tags when you upload the tags from a digital music file to Qoobar. I will have a closer look at these apple tags to determine what might be the issue.
My music files are a hodge podge of .mp3 and many .flac files ripped directly into my Melco which I have since converted to .m4a CD lossless quality. More recent CD purchases have been ripped as .m4a. Most of my files were .mp3 which were created when I purchased my first iPod. They have all been re-ripped to obtain CD quality with lossless .m4a files. The only .mp3 files I have left are old iTunes downloads, often with DRM (digital rights management).
