I use mp3tag for manual tagging aswell, but would like to see some additional features found in dBpoweramp CD ripper (perfectmeta).
Perfectmeta searches multiple meta databases and presents you a table of all found data, allowing to select which tag from which database you want. For covers it will search up to (i believe) 90 sites for a cover and allows you to select the one you want. Simple but pretty effective...
