Thanks, Simon. I'm sorry I couldn't respond sooner; as you might guess, I've been busy resolving a couple of issues with radio streams, discussed elsewhere.

I expressed myself badly. All I was suggesting was that the album.jpg (or whatever) file was placed somewhere where it would be identified and scanned appropriately. I fully understand that the hierarchy we are really concerned with is the containment hierarchy defined by the contents of tags and not by position in the file system.

That said, and given my example, is there any way of showing different artwork for the whole album from that displayed for the contents of individual disks?
