I have organized my library using folders for classical music, jazz, rock ... Then I start browsing by folder view. If I go into classical and then continue by composer tag I see only the composers from this folder. Or if I start with folder view and go into the rock folder, then I can continue with any Tag and Minim Server will only show me the albums or songs from the rock folder. I think that comes close to what you want.
