No! If you don't wish to reply to a specific post, simply choose the 'New reply' button.

If, so then how would I do this?

I am hesitant to offer the following link for fear of more negative critique.
Nevertheless, you could try the Index tag selection section of the user guide.

Is your folder structure unique? Are you willing to provide a description?

RE: Folder Structure Changes
The indexTags property controls what index tags are displayed. If you set it to "none", no index tags are displayed. The entries you are still seeing are not index tags.

MinimServer is designed primarily for tag-based browsing and provides advanced capabilities ("intelligent browsing") for users who wish to do this. The user interface reflects this design.

"I am hesitant to offer the following link for fear of more negative critique."
All hail the programmers!
What you mean is you are closed to suggestions and improvements and have no intention of changing just because that is what paying customers want!

"The entries you are still seeing are not index tags."
Then how do I remove these?

There is a little English grammar error in your sentence.

It should say:

"just because that is what paying customer wants"

Because they are not Index Tags they can not be removed.

@AnnieBody:
It would be nice to have an answer to this question, it could add a positive spin to this somewhat negative thread.
Anyway, you are not obliged to use MinimServer, there are some alternatives like Asset, Twonky or even the MediaServer installed on your NAS/Computer.
Some renderer brands like Linn, Cambridge Audio, Lumin etc. suggest MinimServer as suitable to use with their hardware, a compliment for this versatile software.
You can try the full version for a period of 30 days for free and see if it meets your expatiations, not a bad deal I think!

RE: Folder Structure Changes
I spent many years working for a major software development company and know full well the result of not resolving customer issues, or requirements.
That is why you have developers: to develop, gain market share and subsequently gain profit. That's not nit picking, that's business.

There is a little English grammar error in your sentence.
It should say:
"meets your expectations"

There is a programming error in your webpage:
If there was a way to provide an image I could prove that it is not possible to reply as no reply option appears until you click reply on the editable page then, after getting a notice you are taken to the reply option. In the meantime, please continue to ignore that facts and apparently accuse me of lying.

There is an error in your mathematics and your memory:
If you search your website (after first getting it to work corrcetly) you will find the issue of folder view has been previously requested several times by several people.

There is an answer to this question:
Provide way to remove unwanted folders:
This could be done by adding an attribute to remove the unwanted folders, or by skipping the initial screen after a timed allowance, then automatically jumping to the second.
I doubt this would be beyond the complicated issue you are making it out to be.

Using the reply button...

I am not sure who you are, but certainly you are a very aggressive and rude person. The approach you take is unlikely to get the best out of people who would like to help you.

Most of us who have used Minim over a number of years find it to be the best music server software available. Furthermore, Simon is probably the most responsive and helpful software developer I have come across. Were you to adopt a more constructive approach, Simon (or others) might be willing to take more time to help you out.

Maybe it is worth giving that a little consideration.

RE: Folder Structure Changes
I have decided to close this thread as the discussion is becoming personal rather than technical. The technical questions that are the subject of this thread have been answered and people have had an opportunity to express their opinions about this.
