RE: Minimserver install fails: unable to access shared folder
We discovered that the new Minimserver v2.x created a shared folder and the shared folder definition was corrupted and not usable anymore. After removing Minimserver App and removing the share the install worked.
License reactivated and settings reconfigured brought us back on track. The corrupt share was caused by a QNAP migration to new device which took place before and not knowing that there was a Minimserver share. Thanks for your support. |

RE: Minimserver install fails: unable to access shared folder
Thanks for letting me know. This was a strange problem and I have glad you have found the cause.
The MinimServer shared folder for QNAP is new in MinimServer 2. MinimServer has previously been doing this on other platforms and there are a number of advantages in having all files created by MinimServer grouped together in their own shared folder. |
