This can happen if you try to launch MinimWatch while it is already running or if you exit MinimWatch and don't allow enough time for it to close fully before launching it again. This is a Mac OS X issue, not a problem with MinimWatch.

Try rebooting the Mac. Does MinimWatch start automatically when you log in? This could happen if you have set this up in your login items.

If MinimWatch has not started automatically after a reasonable time, double-click the MinimWatch icon in the Applications folder. Don't do this more than once.

Thanks again,I rebooted iMac and tried to reopen and got an error message saying that I could not open as Security settings had not allowed it.Checked Security which said that MinimWatch could not open as it was already open.I presume I'll have to check where on Mac is an open MinimWatch.

If MinimWatch is running, there should be a minim icon on your menu bar.

You might have used Login Items to start MinimWatch automatically or you might be shutting down your Mac with the option to automatically restart your running programs on reboot.

RE: Minim watch greyed out
Hello,
I can't get miminm watch to work and communicate with my qnap. Minim server works normally, but the other app remains greyed out. I have reinstalled both, updated Java, restarted the qnap and the Mac, and nothing works.
I would truly appreciate your help.
Thanks and best regards

RE: Minim watch greyed out
Have you configured the Mac firewall to allow inbound connections to MinimWatch? This is described in step 7 and step 10 (Note 1) of this section.

Hi, Simon. I have tried what you suggest and it did not work, the connections are allowed. However, the app does not run.

RE: Minim watch greyed out
If you completely disable the Mac firewall (just as a test) and then exit and relaunch MinimWatch, does it work?
