RE: minimserver stops running
Hi Simon,
Since a few weeks (sorry I don't remember exactly since when), I also experience the same issue: on my Synology DS213 minimserver is crashing on a regular basis (once a day, in general over night). I have applied the set up you have recommended for the loging level and now, as a crash occured last night, I have a 70mb log file I can share with you. I will try to sent it to you via MP. JD |

They say this problem will be fixed in a future version of DSM. Edit: To clarify, the problem that Synology are fixing is the problem with a DSM update stopping MinimServer. If MinimServer stops when there wasn't a DSM update, I would like to know about this. |

MinimServer is stopping (not crashing) because you have set something in your DSM configuration that is causing DSM to stop the MinimServer process at 6.00 am every day. |

Thanks Simon, You are right, there was a task scheduled at 6:00am to restart minimServer. The idea was to trigger at least every day a rescan of the library. Sounds like a bad idea then. JD |

Well, I have created a task in the task scheduler to launch the minimServer service at 6:00am. Maybe should I create one before to shutdown the service first?... |
