RE: QNAP Problem
The server is working but I could not install the module (19) it gave me an error at the bottom of the window which said failed. But trying it again it now seems to have worked. I will look at the website for the streamer but I suspect it is for streaming centrally from my NAS to a number of devices.
Thanks |

If you try to go straight to update 19 without previously installing update 18 and relaunching, you will get a message at the bottom of the Packages tab saying "Error opening download stream". If you follow the prompts to install update 18 first, then do a relaunch, then install update 19, everything should work OK. |

RE: QNAP Problem
That makes sense because that was exactly the message I was getting and that was obviously because I did 18 and immediately followed by 19. But because I had done a restart afterwards 19 was able to install later.
I have had an opportunity to sit down and give it blast on my NAIM UnityLite box and it looks very solid with excellent 'selection' properties. I especially like the fact that if I enter 'Category' at the end on indexTags it uses this tag - Great. I use Category (in WinAmp) to hold a musical piece , for example: "BWV 1007 - Cello Suite #1 In G", this makes your server very useful. I will now browse the documentation to see what else I can do with Tags. Cheers Simon. |

But because I had done a restart afterwards 19 was able to install later. The sequence of steps for the double update for 18 + 19 isn't very intuitive. Ideally, 19 wouldn't show up in the Packages tab until 18 is activated (not just installed), but I don't currently have a way to make that happen. If you do updates through the About dialog (as recommended in the documentation), the sequence should work as intended. |

What? Read the documentation first - you are a killjoy! ;-)
