RE: White Minimserver icon
Just brought the whole system up from power off - no change in the way the MinimWatch icon works - as previously described. This is with Java 17 not 19 by the way.
The Router sadly is a Plusnet (BTHub5 equivalent I believe) so I've no idea about IGMP snooping settings - it's barley coping with our mix of Wifi and Ethernet devices! - ultrafibre is being installed 2023. David

RE: White Minimserver icon
Thanks for trying this. I haven't been able to find a way to change the IGMP snooping setting on a BT HomeHub 5.

Are you able to connect your Mac to the router using an Ethernet cable? If this works as expected, it confirms that it is an issue with the router.

If this fixes the problem, you could try completely disabling the 5 GHz wireless band on your router and using the 2.4 GHz band instead. The HomeHub is known to have problems with multicast messaging on the 5 Ghz band. This is mentioned on the Troubleshooting page that I linked in my earlier post.

The 2.4 GHz band is slower, so using this might cause other problems with throughput. If so, your only other solution is to use a different router and configure the HomeHub as a "pure modem" (connected to the new router) to access your broadband connection.

(12-12-2022 08:48)davidp Wrote:  Simon - this is a repeatable bug/feature. MinimServer is running on a Melco - established with Safari. On first launch Minim Watch is greyed out - no menu items for Server only Watch. Put the Mac to sleep - on waking Minim Watch presents as normal with full menu and white icon.

The white icon you are seeing (instead of transparent) is caused by a bug that shows a white icon when running MinimWatch or MinimServer on Java 17. This bug is fixed in MinimWatch update 98 and MinimServer update 221.

The other problem with greyed-out menu items is not related to this bug.

RE: White Minimserver icon
Thanks for letting me know. The icon should now be transparent with Java 17, 18 or 19 and macOS Big Sur, Monterey or Ventura.
