Nanopi 3 less processes working comparing with a nas os - Oroperplex - 01-07-2026 06:17

Hello,
Just something to think about. Would it make sense to move the MinimServer from a NAS to a NanoPi 3/4 running Linux to improve the quality of the music output reasoned of less processes active? The music would still remain on the NAS, where MinimWatch would handle the indexing ?

Regards Dirk

Runing MinimServer in a "quieter" environment such as a NanoPi might improve sound quality. However, having MinimServer access your library files across a network share to your NAS might impact sound quality. The only way to find out is to try. MinimWatch is not involved in indexing or browsing your library.
