I think a weekly record would be very useful indeed, just to record that Wednesday night show I keep missing.

If you run Minimserver and Minimstreamer on a Windows PC, I described how you can use the Windows Task Scheduler to do what you express a desire to do.

A similar approach should be possible on other platforms that provide the ability to create a scheduled task to run at some future time. It would also be possible to create another scheduled task to stop the recording.
