This time, I've spent many hours trying to figure out a problem with playing HLS streams from the German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF.
Just wondering if someone could help or point me to any information available on how to set up Minimstreamer to do sample rate conversion? Is there a setup guide available anywhere?
Up until now I have been using Minimserver to stream native files to my various endpoints. I am now also using a Tannoy TDX-1, which only accepts either 44.1 or 48khz, so need to employ some type of Src.

Dela/Melco Software version 4.5
Music Data Base 2.2
and (today) Song Kong 11.9.1

It's strange that the Linn Software sometimes doesn't "see" the Melco anymore. When I rescan the songs and playlists database, it works again.

Yesterday, I ripped a few albums via the D100, and after rescanning the database and playlists, it no longer sees the database.
It even gives me an error message.

What's wrong?

I sent an email to Linn Scotland, but they had no idea, and Melco Netherlands did the same.

I've also noticed that the images (CD covers) are increasingly not coming from the database.
Albums I've previously ripped and are now ripping again don't have an image. This often concerns lesser-known music/artists.
What can go wrong ?

How are the options within the stream.transcode and stream.option influencing i.e. combined together? For instance: "convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr -ar 192" and "flac:wav24;192".

Apologies if this is a really obvious issue, but I've checked everything and can't figure out what's wrong.

I've been using MinimStreamer without any issues for over a year to play various radio stations on my UPnP/Chromecast speakers (LG MusicFlow) via the app mConnect (on iPhone).

However, just the a couple of days ago it all stopped working. I can see the "playlists" in the app, but when I choose a station it just spins and spins.

I hadn't update the app or anything else from the day before when everything worked find, so I am really puzzled as to where the issue is.

Strangely, when I look at the MinimStreamer log it says "Library contains 0 audio files in 3 folders", which is strange as the files are definitely there and still with the ".m3u" extension. One of the steams is a standard mp3 output (though I have read there may soon be issues with the BBS HLS streams), but even the mp3 stream (ie Classic FM) won't play.

I am completely at a loss and hoping someone here can help me figure out what the issue might be, even though there had been no changes to the system from my end.

PS. I am running MininServer and MinimStreamer on a Synology DS215j NAS running DSM v6. On my iPhone 11 (iOS 18.6) I am using mConnect to access the streamed playlists.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am having a Linn Klimax Exact DMS (2013 Version) in my living room which has the following specs: 192k/24bit Analogue to Digital convertion for Analogue input

With this I was adding the following stream.transcode setting in MinimServer:
flac:wav, flac(16;44):wav24;176, flac(24;44):wav;176, flac(24;48):wav;192, flac(24;88):wav;176, flac(24;96):wav;192, flac(24;176):wav, flac(24;192):wav, mp3:wav24, alac:wav24, mp4:wav24

Here are the stream.options: convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr:precision=28

That seems to be ideal for the Linn device. My new NAIM Uniti Atom has the following specs:
WAV - up to 32bits/384kHz
FLAC - up to 24bit/384kHz
ALAC - up to 24bit/384kHz
MP3 - up to 48kHz, 320kbit (16 bit)
M4A - up to 48kHz, 320kbit (16 bit)
What is the most intelligent solution to provide ideal sound per device?

But the conversion from DSD to PCM is done at 352.8 or 705.6 kHz. The Dac cannot reproduce this.
I have entered the following:
Where is the mistake?

Hi
I am using Minimserver/streamer/watch to try and add radio support to my Naim NDS via the Naim app. I have not used this before.
I have followed the only instructions installing minimserver and streamer to my synology NAS and minimwatch to my old mac. All seems ok there and the mac air shows the minimserver on the NAS.
I have used the template BBC HLS text file in my minimsever directory however I get nothing appearing on the naim app under playlist, as the instructions on the web say I should.
The naim app can see the NAS Minimserver under its uPNP tab.

Any suggestions greatly welcome. At the moment I am using the 30 trial until I know this works.

I have a Nagra Streamer and trying to configure the contentDir setting so MinimServer will access a USB SSD drive plugged into the Nagra Streamer's USB port.
M-Control HD works fine using the USB SSD drive on the Nagra Streamer to play content.

Alternatively, JPlay works fine with MinimServer running on a Mac mini to play content when the drive is connected to the Mac mini, but I haven't figured out the contentDir setting for MinimServer to use the USB SSD drive plugged into the Nagra Streamer (IP: 192.168.1.253). I tried /192.168.1.253/NAS, but that didn't work. NAS is the volume name of the SSD drive.

Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks, Neil

Is there an option to include the meta data for this use-case where there is no transcoding
I am using MinumServer 2.2 update 258 and MinimStreamer 2.0.13 to play BBC radio streams through my Yamaha Musiccast system.

The streams are all working, but, playing back at a slower speed than when cast via the BBC sounds app, or played on DAB radio. I am sure this is because I am using an incorrect transcoding setting.

My m3u file has all the streams listed in this format:

#EXTM3U

#EXTINF:-1,[R1;aac,4800] BBC Radio - One
#EXTALB: Live Broadcast
#EXTGENRE: Live Radio [bbc-off]
My stream.transcode is set to aac:L16 and my stream.converter to opt/bin/ffmpeg
I've copied the ffmpeg binaries to that location on my server.
