Browsing collection using web browser
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I wasn't able to find the answer anywhere.

I have used TwonkyServer for many years, and was hoping that MinimServer also allows me to browse my collection of music using an ordinary web browser. I only want to look at what I have in my collection using a computer, not necessarily play on my computer. I suppose my question is whether a computer with a web browser can be a control point?

I am not aware of any software that can do this. The other option is to install a control point program that runs on your computer's operating system.

Have a closer look at Lyrion Music Server = LMS = ex Logitech Media Server.
If the machine hosting your music collection is able to playback, you'll have it all.

I wasn't thinking of an extra software, but rather that there would be an additional tab (like Status, License, ..., Music) which lets you browse through your music collection using a web browser.

For my Twonky Server, http://x.x.x.x:9000/webconfig brings me to the Settings page, and http://x.x.x.x:9000/webbrowse#music to my music collection.

In any case, it's a nice feature, because it allows you viewing your collection in a very easy way. I installed VLC on my computer, that works ok.

I just noticed that Twonky lets me switch between Twonky and MinimServer. The attachment shows how Twonky lets me browse my music collection as published by MinimServer.

RE: Browsing collection using web browser
I didn't know that Twonky could do this. This seems like a good solution.
