Multiple Genres with DSF Files
Hi,

I have been very impressed with MinimServer but have come across an issue when a DSF file has more than one genre. For some albums I have both DSF and FLAC copies of surround sound music, the FLAC files being tagged as (for example) Rock\\Surround\\5.1 using Mp3tag (\\ is used to denote a separate entry in that program) and the DSF files being tagged as Rock\\Surround\\DSD. When I access the music library using BubbleUPnP, I can see Rock, Surround and 5.1 genres but no DSD genre is displayed. If I find one of the DSF files and display its metadata in BubbleUPnP it shows just Rock. It appears that genres after the first one are being ignored by MinimServer for DSF files. I am running MinimServer on a Synology NAS.

Thanks for your excellent work on this great product.

Regards,
Mike

RE: Multiple Genres with DSF Files
FLAC files are tagged with Ogg/Vorbis tags and DSF files are tagged with ID3v2 tags. To ensure full support for multiple values, you need to use the ID3v2.4 format instead of ID3v2.3.

The ID3v2.3 specification has limited support for multiple values for a few tags only. There is also a nonstandard extension for multiple values that is used by Mp3tag but not supported by MinimServer. If you change your Mp3tag settings to use ID3v2.4, everything should work as you expect.
